After tying up against each other on round 7, GM Shanava won against IM Mert Erdogdu and GM Neverov won against GM Gevorg Harytjunyan on round 8.

IM Meilis Annaberdiev follows them with 6,5 points.

FM Selim Citak (6p) is on the first place at best Turkish players category. IM Mert Erdogdu (5,5p), Emre Mecit ve Esat Baglan share the second place at this category.

10th International Istanbul Chess Festival first round has commenced at 1.00 p.m. with about 400 participants from 15 countries at Yıldız Technical University as of September 12 ^th, 2011.

TSF President Mr. Ali Nihat Yazıcı, Y.T.U. Vice Chairman Prof. Dr. Tamer Yılmaz, Tournament Director Mr. Cem Pekun and Division Head Mr. Emrah Gunay has participated to the tournament opening ceremony.

10th International Istanbul Chess Festival starts with the “technical meeting” on 12 September,2011 at 12.00.

Important Points:

1-All the players should complete their registration by coming to the registration/acception stand at 10.00- 12.00

2-The Licenses and visas of the players must be completed before the first round begins. The players who do not complete lisence or visa are not added the pairing list. In the registration/acception time, the player cards are given to the players. Lisence table is established.

3- According to the new changement in the Regulation: when the start is given, any player who is not at the table loses the game. The default time is 0 minute.
4-The player list is announced on our web-site.
